‘Autumn leaves’ masterclass

Gael Sellwood
Tuesday 9 October 2018

Using a collection of autumn leaves gathered from the Botanic Garden this masterclass will look at the painting techniques required to achieve convincing dried leaves from a range of perspectives. In particular you will focus on form, texture and colour, working in watercolour on hot pressed paper.

The focus will be on developing or improving techniques rather than completing a final painting. With discussion, demonstration of techniques as well as individual tuition, you can complete sketchbook work or work on a small composition. All workshops use watercolour paints on hot pressed paper.

This is one of two single-day workshops that can be booked individually or as a series of linked days. They are not suitable for the beginner and are designed for those with some experience or the more advanced artist.
