Illustrating Found Objects

Gael Sellwood
Monday 29 October - Wednesday 31 October 2018

Use found objects gathered from the Botanic Garden or bring in your own curiosities to create exquisite studies in detail as a record for posterity on this three-day course. You might bring garden objects, berries, feathers, snail shells, seed cases and curled leaves, to perhaps capture a treasured part of your own garden combined with objects from ours.

During the three days you will look at techniques including painting in detail, textures, shadows and placement. You will also look at the work of others to see the layouts that work best with these subjects.

You will work in watercolour on hot pressed paper; with demonstration as well individual tuition you can practise techniques or work on a composition.

This course is suitable for all levels.
