These are very relaxed and sociable affairs when children (and sometimes even the adults) have been known to get up and dance! Visitors are encouraged to bring along a small folding chair or cushion to sit on – and check the weather forecast to see if a brolly and raincoat may be required for the English summer.
The Garden Café will be offering a seasonal special menu and a Main Lawn outstation will be set up offering delicious nibbles and antipasti, icecreams, fresh strawberries with cream. Visitors are also welcome to picnic.
The Cambridge Summer Music Festival is the city’s annual festival of classical music offering outstanding musical performances in some of the city’s most spectacular settings. We are thrilled to be welcoming the Festival’s edit of talented and engaging musicians to the Garden for a relaxed evening of music in the glorious surrounding of the Garden at its mid-summer best.
Normal Garden admission applies, and Sounds Green concert goers are invited to make a ‘pay as you like’ contribution to the musicians’ fees.
