The Magic Brick Tree was created by Cambridge-based young carers from Centre 33, who all provide significant care to another family member. They were able to work alongside artist, Alex Hirtzel and storyteller, Marion Leeper amongst the mighty trees of the Botanic Garden, which became the narrative centrepiece of the book.
Marion will be reading from The Magic Brick Tree and Centre 33 authors will be available to sign their work throughout the evening.
The book launch takes place on Thursday 20 October between 6.30 – 7.30pm, at Heffers Children’s Bookshop, 20 Trinity Street, Cambridge CB2 1TY. Admission is free but please reserve your ticket via the Festival of Ideas link to the left.
The Magic Brick Tree is available to buy right from the Botanic Garden Shop at 1 Brookside, Cambridge, CB2 1JE and from Heffers bookstore for £4.99. All profits from the sale of the book will go towards funding future projects with Centre 33.
