Looking good now
These wonderful flowers on the Broussonetia kazinoki, a handsome tree in the Mulberry family, are such a contrast of hard, knotty globe at the centre of a diaphanous halo of pale lilac-pink filaments.

Flowering Plant Families: a 5-day intensive course
Led by Tim Upson
Monday 1 – Friday 5 July 2013
This very popular 5-day course introduces flowering plant families to undergraduates, graduates, professionals and committed amateur botanists. The aim is to develop an understanding of the major plant families and the practical skills needed when approaching the identification of plant material. Teaching is through a combination of practical sessions and lectures covering the major temperate flowering plant families. The course makes extensive use of plant material and the Systematic Beds at the Botanic Garden.
Note: Students will need to arrange their own accommodation if planning to stay in Cambridge.
