Make your own Herbarium (cancelled)

Christine Bartram
Friday 11 July 2014

A herbarium is a reference collection of pressed, dried plants mounted onto sheets of card. Herbaria are widely used in botany and are a vital resource for the study of local and global biodiversity. Why not try making your own herbarium? This hands-on workshop demonstrates the skills required to produce these important plant records. It includes the preparation, mounting and labelling of botanical specimens from a variety of plant families and a behind-the-scenes look at the historic, internationally important Cambridge University Herbarium.
