Amicia zygomeris

Right at the bottom of the Glasshouse Bay adjoining the Tropical Rainforests display is the unstoppable Amicia zygomeris.
Unhindered by autumn skies, the butter yellow flowers, maroon-tinged on the keel, continue to light up the bay. The leaves are beautiful and unusual - apple green and lobed, while the conspicuous half-moon bracts, held in opposite pairs, are deeply stained and veined in maroon.
