Phaius tankervilliae

This captivating orchid from South East Asia has a comb of five bronze petals fanned like a peacock tail behind the lower, sixth petal that is rolled into an inviting, mulberry-stained tube.
The flower stems are very erect and the flowers in bud are sheathed in a milky gauze.
