Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snow Flake'

This lovely shrub is the highlight of the Bog Garden. The racemose inflorescences consist of large showy sterile flowers in pristine white, perfectly symmetrical, which suit the otherwise unseasonal selection name! The four petals are neatly pinned with a little embroidery stitch of four knots.
The foliage resembles that of an oak leaf and is richly-textured and turns a deep wine red and purple in the autumn.
