Through the Woodland and on the Systematic Beds, hoops of orange and yellow crown imperial bells sporting a tuft of bright green leaves are standing in joyful crowds.

Lilium columbianum

This lovely woodlander from western North America arches over the path into the Woodland Garden strung with bright coral-orange flowers.
The strongly-reflexed petals are spotted with dark-brown spots of tufted hairs; from the centre point a chandelier of pale green stamens flares out.
