Copper Beech

This magnificent copper beech Fagus sylvatica forma purpurea at the west end of the Fairway exhibits all the colours of a pheasant's plumage, from deep teal blue through to rich red and copper. The shiny oval leaves have creante margins, fringed in tiny silver hairs.
