This tropical shrub is adorning the eastern corridor, the glossy dark green ribbon-like leaves setting off a the creamy-white star-shaped blooms perfectly. In the Rue (Rutaceae) family the flowers nevertheless resemble those of citrus, hence the common names of orange jessamine and mock orange.
All the texts suggest this attractive shrub is also highly-scented but the fragrance remains undetected so far - perhaps it is strong at night or laterin the flowering sequence?
