Aesculus x mutabilis 'Induta'

This lovely shrubby hybrid is producing remarkable inflorescences of salmon and buff papery flowers held on a soft lime green branched pyramidal structure.
Although the candles of the common horse chestnut are long faded, the stout pinkish candles of the Indian chestnut are about to burst into flower along with the creamy, zooming inflorescences of the Californian buckeye. It's a great time of year to visit our diverse Hippocastanaceae collection.
