Philadelphus caucasicus

Although many shrubs in the Philadelphus Beds are still recovering from a severe prune, looking lovely now is Philadelphus caucasicus. Sprightly, erect sprays of kite-shaped pure white flowers are closely clustered and sweetly-scented, each with a pom pom of soft yellow anthers.
