The Garden has a good collection of Viburnum clustered in the eastern part of the Garden, which in autumn are often strung with glistening berries (or more properly 'drupes' since each fruit contains only one hardened seed or 'pit').
The colours range from the scarlet orbs of Viburnum sargentii to the aubergine purple ofViburnum tinus
