About the course

Enjoy a relaxed and creative introduction to modern calligraphy in this spring-themed workshop. Learn how to use a dip pen and ink; form elegant letters, words and phrases; and develop your own unique style—no artistic experience or neat handwriting required!

You’ll receive a complete calligraphy kit to take home (nib and holder, workbook, glass bottle of ink, stationery), along with plenty of personal guidance and inspiring project ideas, from handmade cards to seasonal artwork inspired by spring’s colours and botanicals.

All materials are included. Suitable for complete beginners.

About the tutor

Charlotte Allen is an artist and calligrapher who started her own luxury stationery business called Sleepy Bee Studio in her hometown of Cambridge in 2019. After previously working in the buying industry for luxury brands for 10 years she decided to create her own brand, incorporating her calligraphy and art into her stationery designs. She teaches a variety of calligraphy and wax seal workshops throughout the year, all inspired by the seasons.

Bookings for this course will close 26 March
