About the course

In this one day workshop, Meg will teach you how to turn crepe paper and wire into stunning life-like paper roses. Each participant will learn how to make two open roses, a rose bud and some leaves to create a little spray of wild rose flowers that look like they have come straight from the garden. You will be able to choose the colour of your roses from hand dyed papers and Meg will show you how to add details that make the flowers come to life. Each little spray can be displayed in a vase or pinned above a mirror for example.  All materials are provided, with further kits available to purchase on the day to create a larger bunch of wild roses.

Suitable for all skill levels

About the tutor

Meg Lowder graduated from Bristol with a degree in Graphic Design in 1998, but it was paper that truly captured her imagination. Book binding, paper cutting and painting are passions of hers, and after discovering the work of American artist Tiffany Turner, she became fascinated with paper flowers and began teaching herself through books, tutorials, and by studying real flowers from her garden.  What began as a hobby soon became a passion, and eventually grew into a full time business. She now runs workshops to share the joy of paper flower making with others, and was excited to take her workshops to France this year.

Bookings for this course will close on 17 February
