Direct Debit offer!

Enjoy 2 months free membership when you pay by Direct Debit!

This offer is available if you’re a new member, or an existing member who has never paid by Direct Debit.

14 months of membership for the price of 12 if you sign up for an annual payment by Direct Debit. 

This offer is applicable to both standard and gift memberships.

You can sign up in person by completing a form at the ticket office when you arrive, or by downloading the application form at home and handing it in at the ticket office on your next visit. Both options give you immediate free access to the Garden.

Alternatively, you can post your completed and signed form to: Friends Administrator, 1 Brookside, Cambridge, CB2 1JE. Please note that if you apply by post, your membership card(s) will take 4 weeks to arrive. You will be able to visit the Garden for free once you receive your card(s).

Membership card(s) are usually sent out 2–4 weeks after we receive your application. Your first Direct Debit payment will be taken 8 weeks after your application is submitted.

Why pay by Direct Debit?

Guarantee – It’s easy to pay for your membership by Direct Debit, as you are fully protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee giving you peace of mind and security.

Hassle free – Memberships paid by Direct Debit renew automatically, unless you tell us otherwise.

How does it work?

Payments are taken annually. Your first payment will be processed by Direct Debit approximately 8-weeks after we have received your form. In future years, payments are collected on the first working day of your renewal month. We will email to advise you at least 14 days before your payment is taken.

Existing members:

Anyone with a UK bank account can apply to pay by Direct Debit. The 2 months free offer is available only when you set up a Direct Debit for the first time. It cannot be applied if you already pay by Direct Debit, or if you choose another payment method.

Please ensure you complete all fields and sign the Direct Debit form (in pen) to avoid delays receiving your cards, thank you.

Cancelling a Direct Debit

For Friends wishing to notify us of a Direct Debit cancellation, please email both the Friends Office and the Finance Office including the first line of your address or your Direct Debit reference. It is best practice to also cancel this directly with your bank at least a week before payment is due.
