Family Learning Coordinator

Could you inspire and engage families to connect with the natural world?

Salary: £33,951 per annum

Working pattern: Full time

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Family Learning Coordinator to play a key role in engaging families with our Garden. You will design and deliver inclusive, hands-on learning experiences—from seasonal trails and “Family Saturdays” to holiday workshops and outreach events—helping children explore, discover and connect with the natural world.

You’ll be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g education, biology, science communication, environmental education, arts, cultural engagement) and have experience of working with the public (including school-age children, families and volunteers) and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs and priorities of differing audiences.  You will already have experience of planning and delivering creative, hands-on learning experiences.

Additionally, you’ll need to be an effective team player, have an interest in outdoor learning, plant science and conservation, plant collections and botanic gardens and their place in education, as well as the ability to think creatively and translate ideas into reality and be prepared to work outside of normal hours.

Please see the CU Job Opportunities page for further information, including the Further Particulars (including full Person Specification) and how to apply online.

Closing date: Sunday 28 September 2025

Interviews anticipated on Tuesday 21 October 2025
