Learning Volunteers wanted

Apply to volunteer with schools, families and community groups

The activities run by the Garden’s Learning Team could not take place without the help of our amazing volunteers. Volunteers help with family activity days, community visits, school visits and also help us run events like Twilight and Festival of Plants.  With more and more visitors coming to the Garden and more and more activities taking place we are looking for additional people to join our team. If you enjoy working with children, families and community groups, and are passionate about plants we would love to hear from you.

The Selection Process

An Expression of Interest Form should be completed and submitted by those wishing to be considered as a Learning volunteer.  All applicants must be aged 16 or over.

An informal interview will be arranged for those applicants most closely matching our requirements.  This will be an opportunity to discuss the role with the Learning team.

Please download and complete the Expression of Interest Form and post or email to:

Volunteering with the Learning Team is a rewarding experience. Not only do you enjoy the privilege of teaching young minds the joys of the botanical world, but you get to immerse yourself in the stunning grounds of the Botanic Gardens. What’s not to love?
