We will tour a garden for a modernist College with Head Gardener Jo Cobb to see the late summer spectacular of salvias and tropical plants. Jo has designed the garden to flower and come to life in Term Time for students to enjoy. It is a garden created for students and the garden staff encourage them to pick the herbs, spinach and flowers as well as fruit in the orchard. Even though it is near the City Centre, the wilderness areas are full of birds, reptiles and of course muntjacks! The Emma Darwin Greenhouse predates 1880 and has original features like the ironwork and fishscale glass.
