Horticultural Volunteers wanted

We are looking for further experienced people to join us

A heritage-listed Garden, designed for year-round interest. Since its opening in 1846, Cambridge University Botanic Garden has supported University research, been an inspiration for gardeners, an exciting introduction to the natural world for families and a refreshing oasis for all our visitors.

More assistance is required within our small team of volunteers in the Garden Displays and Glasshouse & Nursery Teams, where a very good knowledge of plants and some experience is required.

We are also looking for volunteers with good basic plant knowledge who are keen to work alongside the Garden Landscape Team staff on planting and landscape projects.

The Selection Process

An Expression of Interest Form should be completed, indicating which one of the two Sections you are interested in assisting, and submitted by those wishing to be considered as a Horticultural volunteer.  All applicants must be aged 18 or over.

An informal chat will be arranged for those applicants most closely matching our requirements.  This will be an opportunity to discuss the role with Horticulture staff and meet some of the team.

Please download and complete the Expression of Interest Form and post or email to:

Administration, Cambridge University Botanic Garden, 1 Brookside, Cambridge CB2 1JE

admin@botanic.cam.ac.uk

The closing date for receipt of completed forms is Sunday 13 July 2025.
