A free day of teaching and enrichment for local Y12 biologist students on the subject of Plant Responses. This event is designed to support students with subject content, as well as providing an opportunity for enrichment and for discussion with current university students about their experiences and academic pathways.
Running onsite at the Botanic Garden and Sainsbury Laboratory (SLCU), the day will include:
- Lectures in SLCU Auditorium showcasing the wonder of plants and current plant science research
- Participation in our Plant Carousel hands-on activities with real plants, and opportunity to talk with current university students and recent graduates
- Plant Evolution and Diversity Tour
- Tours of the Botanic Garden
- Feedback session at the Rising Path
