We are buzzing here at the Garden after hundreds of families joined presenters Maddie Moate and Greg Foot to help solve the ‘Mystery of the Moonflower’ and discover some of its secrets along the way!
A huge thank you to all the young explorers who joined in our first ever families online, interactive adventure, which was part of Twilight with the Museums.
“Last night was amazing! 1,400+ families joined live 🤯 & we solved the mystery! 🎉”
This morning, Greg tweeted: “Last night was amazing! I had everything crossed that our live stream would hold while moving through rainforest & desert glasshouses, in the dark, & that families would join us to help discover clues & solve puzzles 🤞

Hayley McCulloch, Head of Learning at CUBG says: ‘We were overjoyed so many people joined the event and we’ve had so much positive feedback on the live chat and across our social media channels! People have been saying how their children were screaming answers at the screens; others have shared how they’ve visited the Garden with their children and seen some of the plants Maddie was talking about and were super excited to see them again!”
We hope the event will inspire families to come and visit the Garden and discover the fascinating world of plants for themselves!”
