Team Leader (Garden Landscapes)

Join our team! We are looking for an experienced Horticultural professional to lead our Garden Landscapes team

Salary: £39,951 – £39,906 per annum

Working pattern: Full time, permanent (with some seasonal variations)

Reporting to the Head of Horticulture, the role holder leads the Garden Landscapes Team. They are responsible for the maintenance and development of the Botanic Garden’s significant tree collection and the landscape within which it sits.

The Team Leader is responsible for delivery of high standards across all areas of activity and leads on projects within the Team. They may also assist the Team with practical work, curation, auditing and maintenance of plant records.

You’ll possess a degree level (or equivalent) qualification in horticulture or arboriculture with a deep knowledge of managing plant collections, particularly in relation to the establishment, care and maintenance of trees and shrubs.  The job requires someone with experience of managing a team, who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as having a horticultural/arboricultural background in a professional horticultural environment.
