The taster session will focus on close-up observational drawing as well as quick preparatory sketches to be used in later compositions. With teacher demonstrations, advice, and in particular individual tuition, this is a perfect workshop for beginners or those looking to improve their drawing technique. Materials will be provided including sketchbooks, paper, a variety of artist quality graphite pencils, graphite sticks, boards, stools and easels, along with refreshments. We are likely to be outdoors most of the day so please dress appropriately.

Caroline is an experienced botanical artist working in pencil and watercolour. She has a BA (Hons) in scientific illustration and has worked over the years for Cambridge University Botanic Garden, the Hunterian Museum and Cambridge University Zoology Museum as a freelance illustrator. She teaches both adults and children to paint and draw.
