Protecting the world’s biodiversity is a crucial part of the activity of any Botanic Garden. We welcome collaborative approaches that focus on plant conservation, and are also interested in exploring projects focusing on wildlife conservation.
The trees section of our website will give you an idea of the landscape and habitat potential of the Garden, but if you would like to know whether we hold particular species of interest please email us at enquiries@botanic.cam.ac.uk directing your enquiry for the attention of our Plant Records Officer, Pete Atkinson.
Research in conservation and sustainability is conducted by Garden staff and colleagues from the wider University and beyond. Research summaries appear below.
