The Garden is open every day 10am – 4pm during January, 10am – 5 pm in February.
❄️Enjoy the bright colours, winter fragrances and textural bark in our Winter Garden.
❄️Explore alpine, arid and tropical delights in the warmth of our Glasshouse Range.
❄️Take a free Winter Interest Garden tour with one of our expert guides. These run every Sunday from 8 January until 26 February at 2pm, on a first come, first served basis, taking in the Garden’s winter highlights. Or treat yourself to a bespoke tour or group tour, followed by a hot drink & cake at the Garden Café.
❄️Follow our free snowdrop trail, available at the Garden gates from mid January. We have over 40 different snowdrop species and cultivars and the trail will guide you to the snowdrop ‘hot spots’ scattered throughout the Garden. The trail includes information about the varieties we grow, how to grow tips, snowdrop science, history and folklore. The snowdrops are expected to be in bloom from mid January until mid/late February.
❄️Families can drop in to one of our free Family Saturdays, or enjoy exploring the Garden with one of our Explorer Backpacks – available to borrow from the Ticket Offices.
❄️Families can take part in our drop-in Glasshouse Adventure during half term 11 – 19 February and hunt for weird and wonderful plants with the help of a special plant spotter booklet. Or book onto our special Twilight evening event, Wednesday 15 February and journey through dry deserts and tropical rainforests after dark!
❄️Browse in the Garden Shop, or enjoy a loaded hot-chocolate and tasty treat at the Garden Café.
