Corporate Support and Corporate Friends

We enjoy working with the corporate sector through support of projects and events, or as members of our Corporate Friends scheme

Corporate Friends

The Garden offers a Corporate Friends scheme which gives companies and their employees privileged access to one of the most beautiful spaces in Cambridge, and supports the Learning Department’s work in the local community and schools.

Our two-tier scheme allows our neighbours and supporting organisations to find the right level of support for them.

Both tiers issue Corporate Friends cards which allow staff to enjoy the Garden any day of the week, and also for non-staff to use the cards. Many of our Corporate Friends are local businesses whose staff use the cards to enjoy their lunch in the beauty and tranquillity of the Garden.

As well as entry cards, Redwood Friends enjoy exclusive benefits such as tickets to the annual Corporate Members’ Late Night Opening – an evening event in the Garden exclusive to Corporate Members, other benefits include a free group tour and 20 free entry cards for staff, with the option of purchasing more.

Cambridge Oak Friends: £350 +VAT per year
• up to 12 reusable free entry cards

Redwood Friends: £1,000 +VAT per year
• 20 reusable free entry cards, with the option of purchasing more
• 4 x invitations for senior staff to the annual Botanic Garden Evening Reception
• Free tickets to the Corporate Members Late Night Opening
• 1 x free group tour in the Garden
• 4 x additional free entry tickets to every CUBG event, including Sounds Green, Apple Day and the Festival of Plants
• The option of purchasing packs of 20 single entry tickets to give to clients/guests

We would like to thank our founding Redwood Friends: AstraZeneca, Cantab Asset Management and Secondmind.

Sponsorship and Corporate Giving

Our popular public events are open to sponsorship, and we are most grateful to Birketts and BDB Law who have sponsored our Sounds Green concerts.

Companies can also support projects or activities within the Garden. For example, our partnership with Cambridge Water, and their sponsorship of the Dry Garden, works well as both organisations are looking for ways to demonstrate ‘water-wise’ activities. We always have some interesting projects in the pipeline, please do get in touch should you wish to find out more and explore ways that we might be able to work together.

Corporate collaborations can also involve a company’s employees through volunteering and work days in the Garden. We can also help organisations meet their corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives through supporting community and education projects in the Garden.

Every partnership is different and we work with each partner to create packages that meet everyone’s objectives. To discuss ways that we could work together please contact the Head of Development via our Enquiry Point on 01223 336265, or by emailing development@botanic.cam.ac.uk.
