We have some exciting news. It comes in the form of a small package, is visually stunning, full of interesting facts and brought to you by a group of passionate Botanic Garden staff. The brand new Director’s Choice: Cambridge University Botanic Garden Guidebook!
In this £10 guide the Director, Professor Beverley Glover, introduces the reader to some of the highlights in the Botanic Garden’s collection, sets the scene for the Garden’s foundation and history and showcases some of its modern landscapes and horticultural set pieces.
The new book is bursting with glorious, glossy, colourful photographs of the plants, trees and wildlife that make our Garden so special, with the Yoshino cherry blossom, other-worldly Jade vine and tropical giant Titan arum to name but a few. You will learn about some of the rarest specimens in our collections, and see the lengths our horticulturalists go to on far-flung expeditions to collect unusual flora.
