CANCELLED Apple Day 2026

We are extremely sad to have to cancel this year's Apple Day

Event details

Sunday 18 October 2026

We are very sad that we have had to cancel this year’s Apple Day, which was due to take place on Sunday 18 October.

Due to this summer’s drought, the apple harvests have been so low that we have been unable to source enough quantities of heritage apples to make the event viable.

We are devastated – Apple Day is one of the highlights in our, and many people’s, calendars. However, we just cannot run the event unless it is going to be a fantastic experience for our visitors, and the main draw is the opportunity to sample a wide selection of heritage apple varieties, which we are unable to offer.

If you have bought tickets online, then your tickets will be refunded in the next 3-5 working days – please do get in touch with us if you have not received your refund by the end of Friday 16 October. If you purchased tickets in person, please take your receipts to the Ticket Office for a refund.

Thank you for your understanding, we know that many people will be disappointed by this news, as we are here at the Garden.

We hope that we will see you here another time soon – we will be open as usual on Sunday in case you would still like to come and enjoy the autumn colour. There are some lovely half-term events and activities lined up, and the stunning Cambridge Botanic Lights is just around the corner too.
