The much-anticipated Cambridge Botanic Lights returns for its fourth year, transforming Cambridge University Botanic Garden into a spectacular illuminated trail celebrating the extraordinary world of plants. This year’s event will again bring the Garden to life after dark with stunning displays and artistic interventions – creating a beautiful landscape for everyone to enjoy.

Running from 27 November to 23 December 2026, the trail will run for 17 nights, offering even more opportunities to experience this spectacular event. Expect a breathtaking blend of light, sound, and nature – perfect for families, friends and anyone looking to enjoy a memorable night out this winter.

Cambridge Botanic Lights is more than just a spectacular event—it plays a vital role in supporting the conservation, horticulture, and education work of Cambridge University Botanic Garden. All ticket income (minus booking fees) goes directly toward maintaining and growing the Garden’s living collection, making it accessible to all.

This year, we need your help to create a magical display. We’re looking for waterproof good quality and family-friendly gnomes to find a new home here in the Garden. If you have one you would like to donate, you can find out more here.

This year, we are continuing with off peak pricing, which is offered on selected dates and times. Discounts on both off peak and standard tickets are offered to CUBG Friends and Cambridge University Students (cards will be checked on entry). There is also a 10% discount for groups of 6 or more.
