Come along and meet the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI) Team at the Botanic Garden. Visit the BSBI stand near the Understanding Plants area to find out more about the Society (founded in 1836) and how it can help you learn more about our wild plants and support their conservation.
The BSBI offers activities and plant identification resources; supports training (including grants) and research into the wild and naturalised plants of Britain and Ireland; and hosts one of the largest biological databases in the world: millions of plant records which inform scientific research and underpin evidence based nature conservation. Visit the BSBI stand and find out how the Society’s work is helping to address key environmental issues such as nature recovery, biodiversity loss and a changing climate – and how your wild plant observations can contribute to this important work.
